A security officer has a huge influence on the people especially on those who want to become the one. Everyone can safeguard himself/herself in a way or two but not as complete as a well-trained security officer. In homes and schools though we are talked about the many ways we can protect ourselves but are we given the proper learning and the training? No! We aren’t. Everyone is so much busy with their daily routine that we don’t have enough time to focus on this issue. That is why there are some heroes who have got us covered when it comes to a protection. But one needs the proper training and certifications to become a Security Officer.
Trainings and Certifications they need
The training and the certifications that the security officers got are not that easy. Their training is as tough as that of any army training. They are required to attend an 8hrs pre-assignment training course in order to get the security officer’s registration cards. Then there are 16hrs on-job training that needs to be completed. Not only this, they have to attend the refresher courses. Besides this all they are trained with the every advanced security equipment.
The certifications that make them stand out
Every training and every certification is must for every security officer as it increases the credentials of them but one of the most important certification and training that makes them stand out amongst other security officers is the CPR certification (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation). Any profession must have this certification as it is an extra layer of qualification that makes the employer to nod the hiring application faster than everyone else’s.
CPR certifications are vital to every security officer
A security officer must have experienced in his/her career life that someone gets the cardiac attacks. To handle such situations one must have the knowledge on how to handle such health emergency cases. A security guard must know all the actions that should be taken in such critical times where every second is very important. If a security guard is CPR certified then he will always be ready and able to respond to any emergency anytime and anywhere.
The first-aid training is not that enough. One must have the CPR certified training as well to handle any violence or accidents. That is why proper CPR training is vital to every security officer that helps them respond quickly and efficiently. Knowing and understanding a CPR and how to administer in the right way will help you save the lives.
